General Questions/New to Joomla! 4.x • Joomla - Restore but dont know the last version

Hi everyone,

I'm currently grappling with a significant issue in restoring a Joomla website and could really use some guidance.

I'm not a developer; I'm more of a tech person assisting in the lab with services.

The lab used to have a Joomla website since 2018. Last year, concerned about potential data loss, I asked the developer for information, including the password. Unfortunately, they lost it .

In response, I took proactive measures and made a full backup of the database, the Joomla folder, and created a dump of the MySQL.

Last week, disaster struck as the machine burnt down. Since then, I've been struggling for a week to bring it back online using Docker, but without success.

I have no clue about the last Joomla version. While I believe I found the database password, changing it doesn't seem to solve the issue. Should I opt for a fresh install and then attempt to restore the database?

I'm in the process of copying and pasting things back to their original places.

Any assistance or advice would be greatly appreciated.
