General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • Re: Boolean Error Administrator login

Welcome to the Joomla forum!

Was this website installed originally as Joomla 5.0.0 or was it upgraded from an earlier version?

What is the actual error message? If the administrator login does not work, make the following changes into the file configuration.php in the main Joomla folder. Write-enable the file first.

Code:

public $debug = true;public $error_reporting = 'maximum';public $log_everything = 1;
Those settings will give a detailed error messages with the script name and line number where the error occurred, followed by the PHP call stack, which will help our volunteers to identify the root cause. Post the details into your reply.

The error and the PHP call stack can also be downloaded from the log file administrator/logs/everything.php.

The website has version 1.0.4 of the Two Factor Authentication 2FA for Joomla by miniOrange. That version sounds very old and therefore it is unlikely to work in Joomla 5. The latest version, updated three months ago, is 4.4.0, but even that version has not been flagged as Joomla 5 compatible in JED by the developer. The plugin Behaviour - Backward Compatibility needs to be enabled in Joomla 5, if you would like to try that version.

Admin Tools should also be updated to version 7.4.4, according to Akeeba's Compatibility page.
